KAP Foil 1.6 Kite + 23' Fringe Tail

by HQ Kites and Designs High-Quality, Well-Made Kites

Talk Around Town

Kite Aerial Photography (KAP) involves using a kite to lift a camera into the sky, where it can be remotely triggered or set to take automatic shots. This unique perspective allows pilots to capture landscapes, architecture, and people. KAP dates back to the late 19th century, making it one of the oldest forms of remote sensing.

KAP Foils, developed by German kite enthusiast Ralf Beutnagel, are reliable kites designed for camera rigs. Since their introduction in 2006, they have impressed many photographers with their stability and performance.

These kites perform well in a wide range of winds, with the KAP Foil 8.0 capable of carrying heavier cameras in light winds. All KAP Foils fly steadily in stronger winds, generating significant pull. They are intended for experienced pilots, and strict adherence to recommended age and wind ranges is essential.
