KAP Foil 3.0 Kite + 39-ft. Tail

by HQ Kites and Designs, High-Quality, Well-Made Kites

Talk Around Town

Kite Aerial Photography (KAP) involves lifting a camera into the sky using a kite, which can be triggered remotely or automatically. Typically, the camera is secured to an adjustable rig suspended from the kite line, allowing photographers to capture unique aerial views of landscapes, architecture, and people.

KAP dates back to the late 19th century and is one of the oldest forms of remote sensing. The KAP Foils, designed by German kite enthusiast Ralf Beutnagel, are stable lifter kites that have impressed photographers since 2006. They perform well across a wide wind range, with the KAP Foil 8.0 capable of carrying heavier cameras in light winds. All KAP Foils fly stably in stronger winds, but due to their significant pull, they are meant for experienced pilots. Adhering to the recommended age and wind range is strongly advised.
